Every year Women’s Ministries groups at corps have a World Services goal to contribute to their corps’ overall goal. In 2015 the World Missions Department is giving the Central Territory a specific focus as they fund raise: Child Survival.
UNICEF (United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund.) describes the need for Child Survival programs in these words, “The majority of deaths in children under the age of 5 years are due to a small number of common, preventable and treatable conditions, such as pneumonia, diarrhea, malaria, malnutrition & neonatal conditions, occurring singly or in combination.”
The World Services promotional videos in 2015 will focus on Child Survival and it will be our motivation as we fund raise in 2015. Our Territorial Women’s Ministries Department will be producing resources to help you educate yourselves and those around you about Child Survival in the coming months.
