The Central Territory Corps and Community Missions Department is proud to present “The Purpose of Christmas” – 2025 Advent series.

Collaborating with the Territorial Music Department, this five week advent recognition explores and establishes the reasons why we celebrate Jesus as our HOPE, LOVE, JOY, and PEACE.

We will see that the true gift of Christmas is God’s presence and the fulfillment of His promise of reconciliation with humanity through Jesus. Jesus is Immanuel – God with us.

Written by Central Territory Salvation Army officers, this series explores the meaning behind why we celebrate the birth of Jesus at Christmas. We are reminded that “the birth of Jesus is more than a story about shepherds, wise men, and a manger. It is the story of God’s ultimate rescue plan for humanity, to defeat sin and restore us to Himself.” – Lieutenant Charles Cloak
