Calling Salvationist Young Adult Women
The voice of young people is vital to the ongoing mission and ministry of the global Salvation Army, including in matters of justice around the world. The International Social Justice Girls Group (ISJGG) offers a meaningful opportunity for
Salvationist girls and young adult women aged 16 – 25 to:
- Learn more about the United Nations and the work of The Salvation Army’s International Social Justice Commission (ISJC)
- Connect with other Salvationist girls from around the world through conversations on social justice issues, including sharing perspectives from their own cultural and local contexts
- Participate in projects linked to key international social justice days
- Share opportunities for development in their own leadership skills and contribution to the cause of justice in their local context
For the past five years, we have had several representatives from the central territory serve on this group:
- Magnolia Clayton (IND Division)
- Princess Pyle (NCI Division)
- Anna Tooley (NCI Division)
- Erin McDonald (GLD Division)
We would like to encourage the continued participation of women and girls from the Central on this important international, advocacy group.
How you can help:
To ensure truly global representation in these discussions, we kindly ask for your support in widely promoting this opportunity and encouraging eligible young women to apply.
The application process requires:
- Female, uniform wearing Salvationist
- Age at the time of application: 16 to 25 years old
- Have the ability to converse, read and write in English
- Commit two (2) years from September 2026 – August 2028
- Have an interest in social justice
- Participate in two projects per year, a total minimum of four projects during the two-year term
- Attend monthly meetings via Teams, held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 8am (New York Time)
- Completion of the Application Form (link below)
- A letter of recommendation from the applicant’s Corps Officer, and
- Endorsement from Territorial Leadership.
Shortlisted applicants will be interviewed by the ISJC team to assess suitability and to ensure diverse representation. Following the selection process, ISJC will confirm acceptance with Territorial Leadership before notifying the successful candidates.
