Today in the #BoundlessBible reading we meet John the Baptist. Like John the Baptist, as believers we have a high calling. John was called to preach a message of repentance through confession and baptism, making the way for Jesus. Certainly the greatest moment of his life was baptizing Jesus. Later in Matthew, in chapter 25 Jesus reveals that even what we do for others is an act we do for Jesus.
‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38girl looking When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’
40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
Here are the #BoundlessBible questions, and be sure to follow this LINK to read their devotional and go deeper:

  • Do you think it is possible to be forgiven if there is no repentance?
  • Jesus was baptised by John, but John’s baptism was for repentance.
  • Do you think Jesus needed forgiveness or that his baptism was for other reasons?
