The Library of Congress as well as several other national institutions including the National Endowment for the Humanities, and the Smithsonian Institution join together in commemorating and encouraging the study, observance and celebration of women in American history.

Women have played a vital role in Salvation Army history as well. We too, observe Women’s History Month celebrating the rich heritage of women.
