Look what the Lord has done!
Psalm 64:1-7
Shout for joy to God, all the earth!
2 Sing the glory of his name;
make his praise glorious.
3 Say to God, “How awesome are your deeds!
So great is your power
that your enemies cringe before you.
4 All the earth bows down to you;
they sing praise to you,
they sing the praises of your name.”
5 Come and see what God has done,
his awesome deeds for mankind!
6 He turned the sea into dry land,
they passed through the waters on foot—
come, let us rejoice in him.
7 He rules forever by his power,
his eyes watch the nations—
let not the rebellious rise up against him.
God answers prayer! Do you know that? God is faithful and hears us when we pray. This morning I just want to give Him all the praise and say, “Look what the Lord has done!” Not only does He answer the cries of our hearts in His perfect will and timing, He is so faithful. I have seen Him do it before and I can trust that He will do it again.
The God who parted the Red Sea…who allowed Isreal to cross the Jordan River on dry ground, who made the sun stand still, who gave David victory over Goliath, who preserved Esther, who saved Jonah in the depths of the sea, delivered Daniel from the lions, who was the fourth man in the fire, who protected Peter in prison, who freed Paul and Silas from their chains, who conquered death on the cross for my sins!
If that were the only thing, it would be enough!
But God continues to answer the cries of our hearts today. And so we remember – not only the accounts from scripture and that was not an exhaustive list! We need to remember where we have seen God’s hand in our own lives and trust Him for the prayers we pray today and the answers to come.
