Wednesday
2:00 – 5:00 Arrival/Tent set-up

8:15 Pack own lunch with provided food
9:00 Depart for hikes (lunch on the trail)

Other details:
Participants must be prepared to stay in a tent AND to hike. The hikes will last about 6-7 hours including breaks and lunch.
Tent – Decide whether you will bring a tent or share a tent. If you are sharing, whose tent will you share? This is a question on the registration form.
Hike – Be in good shape to handle several miles and hours of hiking in the woods, up and down. Begin practicing now.
Camp – Even though we are staying at a Salvation Army camp, we will only be on the primitive side of camp.
Bath house – There is a bath house with flushing toilets and hot water showers – YAY!
Bathroom – There will not be bathrooms on our day long hike. Be prepared to know how to do what you need to do. You will need to carry toilet paper, a zip lock (gallon) bag for used toilet paper, and a small garden shovel to dig your own hole for “other” stuff. Leave nothing behind!
Snakes – Yes, there is the possibility of snakes

What if there is rain?
We are campers and hikers; we are bold and adventurous. You get the hint, we will camp and hike in the rain. Let’s join together and pray for dry ground and dry skies during the week of this retreat.:

During this retreat, you are asked to disconnect. There are emergencies from time to time; but other than that, please resist checking emails, texts, social media, etc.
