Knowing God

The Truth

Many people believe that if they live a good life, do good things, or even go to church they know God and will go to heaven. The truth is we can’t earn our way into heaven. Eternal life is a free gift, offered to us by God who loves us.

The Way

We believe that there is only ONE way to receive this free gift of forgiveness from sin and eternal life.

How can you receive the free gift of salvation? First, you should understand how God feels about you.

How Does God Feel About You?

God loves you and has a plan for your life.

God created you. He loves you. He has purpose for your life. He knows everything there is about you and He wants you to know Him.

There is only one thing standing in the way. Sin.

Sin keeps us separated from God

All of us were born with sin, separated from God.

Because of our sin we are distanced from God. The Bible tells us, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” (Romans 3:23). Without forgiveness we remain separated from God.

BUT because of God’s great love for us, He provided a way to bridge the gap of separation through the self-less sacrifice of Jesus Christ.

Jesus said, “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)

Jesus Paid the Price

Jesus, who had no sin, took all of our sins, suffered and paid for them with His life on the cross.

God’s love for us is so deep that He provided the way to Him through Jesus.  “But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)

The Bible says, “But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.” (Ephesians 2:4)

Jesus came to reconcile us to God. He paid the penalty for our sin with His life so that we could be made right before God. This was God’s gift of grace to us.

Believe and Accept

Jesus said, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6)

We accept Jesus by faith, believing He is the Son of God. When you accept Jesus, you believe that He is the Son of God, and you invite His Holy Spirit to guide and direct your life.

You must believe to receive the free gift of salvation through Jesus.

You Can Receive Christ Today

You can receive Christ right now. You don’t have to wait until you are “cleaned up” or trying to live a better life. God sees you exactly as you are and loves you no matter what.

The Bible says, “But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.”
(1 John 1:9)

How to Accept Jesus as Your Savior:

PRAY. Prayer is simply talking to God. It’s a conversation. The precise words you use are not important. He knows the intentions of your heart. If you are unsure of what to pray, this might help you put it into words:

“Jesus, I want to know You. I admit that I have sin in my heart. I believe that You are the Son of God and that You died on the cross for my sin. Please come into my life and forgive me. Help me to live my life to honor You and become the person You intended me to be. Give me faith to trust in You. Amen.”

If you sincerely asked Jesus into your life just now, then he has come into your life as he promised. You have begun a personal relationship with God.

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:38)
