Meet Krystal Valenzuela! Krystal is from Goshen, IN where she co-leads the Women’s Ministries group. She also leads Girl Guards and the Youth Sunday School class. She has a sweet testimony of God’s love and grace in her life. She is a beautiful example of intentional youth programming and youth investment through The Salvation Army. Here is Krystal’s story.

“My testimony is so simple I feel like it’s not worth anything to anyone. I’m married with 2 boys and my husband helps me with all my church projects and has fallen in love with The Salvation Army. I’ve been a believer my whole life. I’ve never experienced a tragedy, loss, addiction like those testimonies that hit your soul and makes you feel the presence of God. All I have is the faithful love Jesus Christ has given me everyday. I’ve always known He’s been there, I’ve always known He’s loved me and I’ve always known that through Him is the only way to Heaven.

I’m a “church bus kid” all grown up. I’ve been coming to the Goshen corps since I was 4 years old. Growing up with The Salvation Army going to rallies, commissioning, camp, etc. is what has formed me. I was the only one in my family on that church bus. No one else was interested in coming to church until one day the church became my family. My mom and dad would come to some special award events or Christmas play every once in awhile, but it was the women of the church who showed me and taught me what God’s love was. That is why all grown up Krystal, who doesn’t need to ride the church bus anymore, loves women’s ministry. I believe it is our job to continually bring that kind of welcoming love into the lives of not only children but to everyone.”
