Domestic Violence Awareness

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The National Coalition Against Domestic Violence reminds us that there are countless people who are affected by domestic violence. We should “not stop until victims can be heard.”

As Christians, we are called to pray: Pray for individuals and families of those who are victims of domestic violence. Pray for wisdom when encountering those affect. Pray for courage, safety, and for justice to be served.

Pray also for the offenders. Pray that they would have a change of heart, that they would right the wrongs and allow for justice to be served, and to end the cycle of abuse.

The Salvation Army is ready to help and fights daily for justice. To learn more go to:

If you need help right now, call the Domestic Violence Hotline: 1-800-SAFE.
