summer scriptureNeed some help staying connected to the Word of God during the summer days? Join us in a summertime scripture writing plan – Writing through the Psalms, for the months of June and July. Commissioner Dawn Heatwole, Central Territory officer stationed at International Headquarters, came up with this simple and meaningful writing plan. Simply download the guide and start writing! It’s that simple!
Here are some instructions from Commissioner Dawn:
You do not have to be artistic. The picture on our group page is 1 I colored but did not draw. I recently purchased an Inspire Bible which has pictures throughout the Bible that can be colored. But you don’t need a special Bible, you can use the one you have.

No special version, choose whichever version you want to. I am using New Living as it is different from my study Bible. I want to get a fresh perspective on the Psalms.
You don’t need a journal, a spiral notebook or even loose leaf paper in a binder, will work.
Each day you write out the passage listed. If that’s all you want to do, stop. If you enjoy journaling, use those verses to pray, and then listen to see if God has more for you, or a new thought on the scripture. Then journal what God spoke to you about.
You can post here questions, or thoughts, or struggles you may have
Please know it’s not complicated. It really is to be a way to study, to learn, to listen to God’s Word.
Enjoy the journey! Let’s anticipate God speaking to each of us through this discipline.

Follow along with other participants in the Facebook group: The Written Word and if you post pictures on your social media accounts use the hashtag #SAwrittenword so we can all see how God is inspiring you through the written Word!
